Thoughts on 'The Omen 2006 Teaser Trailer'

This trailer  is effective as it has hardly anything in it, yet its simplicity tells the audience enough to want to go see it. The eery music in the background as well as the swing noise builds the tension along with only seeing the back of the boys face, this puts the audience in suspense to see his face and identify with him.
The build up of music then leads the audience into fixation on the boy, which makes his sudden turn of the head scary, this allows the audience to feel although the boy is looking straight at them and therefore evokes fear. The fact that this film comes out on the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year, allows the audience member to know that this will be a film about the devil as it is usually what is associated with the number '666'. The putting together of the digits at the end of the trailer again confirms this assumption and re installs their fear making them eager to go see it.
