The image is mainly black in order to connote fear and death. The skull adds to the image by suggesting that many characters are going to die in the duration of this movie. The shattered glass with the girls face on symbolises her life ending. This also relates nicely to the tag line 'Rest in peices', a play on words due to the horrific deaths about to be shown in this film. The tag line and the title of the film are both the same colour white to show continuity but also importance, these both stand out as they are the most vital parts of the poster, the parts which advertise the film and allow the public to know what the film is called. The date is in red which also stands out, but not as much as the title. This also signifies blood and adds to the promise of death within the movie.
