This film links to the common fear of the darkness, it regurgitates the childhood fear of the shadows in the dark. And therefore feels very real to the audience making the film even scarier.

Plot synopsis: A Global black out causes a huge population to disappear leaving just their clothes and belongings behind. Whilst more people vanish so does day light, forcing a small group of people to come together and make camp in a small abandoned dimly lit bar. As the darkness spreads and the shadows draw closer there is only one thing they know for sure, that the light it their only hope. The only problem is, their losing more of it every minute.
Poster Analyisis
- The image fading into the background highlights the first word of the title 'vanishing' and gives the audience a clear idea of what this film is going to be like.
- The black background links with the idea of fear and death, not being able to see your attacker and focusing on mans primal fear, the dark, 'Fear lives in the dark'.
- The white writing is used in order to draw your attention to the film title and information.
- The image shows limited hints about the film in order to wet your appetite and give you the urge to go see the film in order to gain more knowledge of what it is about.
- From the images facial expression you can see that this film is of the Horror genre as the person is screaming.
